➥ Ubuntu 17.04 add windows share to fstab

First lets test the connection to check if we can connect to the remote dir with our user and password:
sudo apt-get install smbclient
smbclient "\\\\10.20.6.19\sarg" -U yourusername

you will be asked for password, if you see:
smb: \>

you are connected, type exit and edit the fstab
pico /etc/fstab and add this line:
//10.20.6.19/sarg /media/nas01sarg cifs username=yourusername,password=yourpass,iocharset=utf8,sec=ntlm 0 0

Now lets test
sudo mount -a

if you dont get any errors all is fine and you have mounted the remote server in /media/nas01sarg
